Hotel Mediteran Resort (Ulcinj, Montenegro (Crna Gora)_ -- The Hotel Mediteran Resort in Ulcinj, is one of the first Montenegrin resort hotels to begin renovation and redevelopment following government privatization efforts since achieving nationhood. The resort's owner has renovated the operated portion of its existing guestrooms, and is planning development of a new guestroom tower and central resort amenities complex.

About Ulcinj's Private Accomodation
Due Care is Advised -- Visitors wishing to take the private accommodation option are recommended to seek referrals from prior visitors who have stayed in the Ulcinj-Bar area. Some visitors to Ulcinj are attracted to the private limited-service accommodations that are available. Visitors should be aware that the full-service hotels in Ulcinj provide a higher level of service and comfort to visitors, than private accommodations. Private accommodations are also unregulated, and therefore not monitored by the government for safety, security, or cleanliness.
Visitors staying in private accommodations (other than hotels) must register with the police station responsible for the area in which they are staying within 24 hours of arrival. Although enforcement of this regulation may be uneven given so many visitors to the region, failure to comply may result in a fine, incarceration, and/or expulsion. Persons who fail to register may face difficulties in departing the country. Visitors staying in hotels or tourist facilities are automatically registered with the police by the hotel.
